Malcolm and Karin Ching

Malcolm is a 5th generation New Zealander descended from the first 
European settlers  to colonize the Nelson area. 
Through nearly 30 years of working in Wool Exporting, Malcolm has travelled
extensively internationally and enjoys meeting fellow travellers with an 
interest in discussing and exploring new experiences. The cut and thrust
of the competitive wool industry has developed a keen interest in 
international affairs and he enjoys discussing the forces that shape our world.
Most of our free time is devoted to exploring local rivers in our jet-boat and enjoying the outdoor
lifestyle New Zealand's climate and environment is world famous for. 

Karin is a 1st generation New Zealander of German descent. 
Through several trips to visit family and friends in Europe, Karin has developed a keen interest 
in travel, meeting people from other cultures and enjoys creating a warm and welcoming
environment for our guests and visitors as well as appreciating all the outdoor
activities available. 

We have established Riverflats B&B as a country based, relaxing, home style 
environment so that others can enjoy the tranquility of the surrounding countryside, yet be 
close to all the local attractions.
